Days of Noah are Here!

Banff Lake Louise Area

For 2023 the Moraine Lake road has been closed to private vehicles. You can take public shuttles, buses, taxis or if energetic bicycle or walk the road! Lol! See the transit and shuttles link below for current information.

You can still take your private vehicle to the actual lake at Lake Louise but parking is limited in the high season (mid May to mid October) and you must get up the road very early to get one (6 or 7am)!

Unfortunately for 2025 there is now paid parking at the Lake Louise lake parking lot. It is in effect from May to early October from 7 am to 7 pm each day at a cost of $36.75 per day.

For 2025: Parks Canada is offering daily shuttles from the Lake Louise ski hill parking to the Lake Louise Lakeshore and Moraine Lake. Available from May to Early October 2025. Shuttles must be reserved ahead of time to guarantee a seat. Walk up seats are not available. This setup may change so visit the transit and shuttles page for the current arrangements to visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. There is also Roam bus route 8x from Banff to the Lake Louise lake shore
