Tunnel Mountain Hike
- Easy Hike: Class 1 – Nice trail from either the lower or upper parking lot
- Altitude: ~1,684m (5,523 ft)
- Elevation Gain: ~260m (860 ft) from the lower parking lot ~200m 660 ft from the upper parking lot on Tunnel Mountain Drive. Tunnel Mountain Drive closed in the winter months - have to check on it.
- Ascent Time: easy hiking pace about 50-60 minutes to the top from the lower parking lot
- Best Season to Hike: Year round - will need microspikes in the winter season as the trail gets icy
Highlights
This hike is a nice break from the larger scrambles you can do in the Canadian Rockies. More for families or someone just getting into hiking but might not want to take on bigger peaks just yet.
