God's Prophetic Plan Chapters 5-12
I’ve attempted to give an overview of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I believe it will answer the big questions of life and prepare each person to meet their maker. The first four chapters counter what I feel is a very poor worldview of earth history when you understand the assumptions that it is underpinned by.
This impersonal evolutionary worldview that we descended from ape like creature (or some common ancestor), there is no God, and everything we see arose from time, random chance, and natural processes leaves me distinctly sceptical of its validity.
Public education, the scientific press, and the media of every sort trumpet this worldview with little digging into the assumptions that it is built upon as far as I can see.
The first four chapters on Creation vs. Evolution provide evidence to show that creation is a superior worldview based upon sound assumptions. It shows that is explains what we see in the here and now better. It also supports the hopeful outline of how God is going to undo this current reign of death, futility and despair.
The next three chapters cover what is known as Bible Prophecy. When Jesus Christ rose from the dead and returned to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father, he promised to return and set up a 1,000 year kingdom reigning from Jerusalem. For the last almost 2,000 years he has been offering forgiveness and freedom from the power of sin and a relationship with himself to any who will come. However, this time period (called the Church Age) is drawing to a close as different prophecies about the end dovetail together in our generation.
Chapters 8 and 9 show how each person needs to be restored to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. These chapters show how each person may do so. Of course you must be willing to face the bad news about yourself before you are able to understand the GOOD NEWS.
Chapter 10 gives a picture about the religious scene in our generation. Much of what claims to be Christianity is false and I would not recommend anyone to fall under various forms of mental slavery and deception offered in the name of Christ today. Entering a church today is a very dangerous undertaking. Christ said that the last generation before he returns would be dominated by a religious form of Christianity not true Christianity. Please avoid any places that proclaim you can get to heaven by works, sacraments, the church priesthood, by joining our group, by taking a blind leap of faith, by checking your brain at the door, by yielding blind obedience to some church, by rituals and ceremonies, by offering you godhood, by signs and wonders and escastic babbling, by easy believism, etc. etc.
Chapter 11 and 12 cover some of the changes that earth and mankind will experience during and after the 1,000 year reign of Jesus Christ. How about peace among the nations and the animal kingdom! How about immortal bodies! How about perfect justice, with no lawyers, no lies, no blaming, no deception, for every judge will supernaturally have all the facts. How about instant identification, capture, and judgement for anyone who wrongs another! What an amazing time this old world has a coming!
