Predictive Prophecy of Future Events Proves the Bible is the Message from the True God and Creator?

I wanted to examine evidence as to why the Bible is the living Word and the only true message from God which it claims to be. I believe it is the only book that can be trusted for spiritual truth of the many books out there making such claims. Predictive prophecy in exacting detail is only found in the Bible. It seems to me that only a transcendent being could make predictions hundreds and thousands of years in advance and be present later in history to bring events to fulfilment.

I do not intend to be exhaustive in covering this subject but to give a good portion of predictive prophecy for the first coming of Jesus Christ to endure the atonement on the cross and the second coming of Jesus Christ to close the Church Age and as King to setup His 1,000 year kingdom.

In the Old Testament book of Genesis in the Garden of Eden the first couple (Adam and Eve) were enticed into disobedience by the leader of the fallen angels named Satan, or Lucifer, or the Great Dragon, or the Angel of Light, the Deceiver, the Liar, the Murderer, the Evil One etc. The description of Lucifer's fall from his position as the Anointed Cherub or Worship Leader of God's angels is found here in Ezekiel 28 v 12-18. In the beginning God gave a test to Adam and Eve for obedience and trusting Him by forbidding them to eat fruit from one tree in the Garden of Eden. Satan entered and countered God's statement and said God was a liar and His Word could not be trusted. Satan said that God was holding out on them and if they ate they too could become a god with special powers. Adam and Eve believed the lie and their disobedience brought physical and spiritual death to themselves and a curse on the original perfect creation. And so began the process of aging and dying for the human race.

This broken relationship with God is passed down to all the descendants of Adam and Eve and is referred to as the fallen nature or sinful nature of man. In Psalm 51 v 5 King David describes our problem being born in Adam ; Behold I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me! And yet God in this moment told Adam and Eve that He would make a way back for them to be forgiven, reconciled to Him and to ultimately be in Heaven with Him. The wages of sin was death both spiritual and physical. It was going to be through a final atonement (shedding of blood) or a substitute payment for sin in His courtroom in the future by the Messiah . Through that payment, forgiveness and peace with God could legally be given to each person who trusted in it.

There is a second major part in the Old Testament that God would bring His Word and His Messiah through the nation of Israel. Ever wonder why the strong Anti-Semitism towards Israel and the spirit behind it? Satan has always opposed God s plan since the fall in the Garden of Eden to this very day in a myriad of ways but especially opposing the nation of Israel!

Reading Genesis Chapter 2 v 15-17 and Chapter 3 v 1-24

  1. 2:15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
  2. 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
  3. 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
  4. 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
  5. 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
  6. 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
  7. 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
  8. 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
  9. 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
  10. 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
  11. 3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
  12. 3:9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
  13. 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
  14. 3:11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
  15. 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
  16. 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
  17. 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
  18. 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
  19. 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
  20. 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
  21. 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
  22. 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
  23. 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
  24. 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
  25. 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
  26. 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
  27. 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
 
  • This sets the scene for the prophecies made about the Messiah and His atoning work on the Cross in His first coming. But God wants to remind you that He will foretell the future in advance and He will bring it to pass. Get on the narrow path before you are overtaken as a transgressor of the law.

    • Isaiah 46:8-10 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. V9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, v10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

    12 Verse Selections for the First Coming of Christ

    I am going to quote the verse with the date it was written and see if you can figure it out. I will post the answer below these prophetic verses with brief explanation.

    1. 1. Genesis 49 v 10 The sceptre will not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be (event circa 1854 BC)
    2. 2. Daniel 9 v 24-27 (this book was written by Daniel during the period that the nation of Israel was in exile in the kingdom of Babylon which lasted 70 years circa 586-516 BC; Daniel prayed to know the future plan for Israel and the promised Messiah from this bleak point in Israel s history; God gave him this outline) V24 Seventy weeks (of years) are determined upon thy people (Israel) and upon thy holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. (to fulfil the promises of the Messiah and bring in the 1,000 year kingdom) V25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem (King Cyrus of the Medes and the Persians issued this command circa 445BC) unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks (of years), and threescore and two weeks (of years): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. V26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary (Jerusalem and the Temple destroyed in 70AD by Titus and the Romans); and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. V27 And he (counterfeit Christ or Roman Ruler) shall confirm the covenant with many (Israel and the surrounding hostile nations) for one week (of years): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease (desecrates the third Temple), and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (written circa 516 BC)
    3. 3. Isaiah 7 v 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel . (written circa 740-690 BC)

    12 Answers for the First Coming of Christ Verses

    1. 1. God told Israel that the Messiah would come through the tribe of Judah. The Patriarchs were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (who was later given the name Israel) who had 12 sons from whom their descendants became the 12 tribes of Israel. The genealogy in Matthew chapter 1 v 1-17 is the legal listing showing that Jesus descended from the tribe of Judah right down to His legal father Joseph.
    2. 2. In Daniel chapter 9 there is a time frame laid out of 70 weeks of years using a prophetic year of 360 days. We know historically that Cyrus decreed to rebuild Jerusalem in circa 445 BC (Nehemiah 2 v 1-8). Using the 69 weeks of years to the presenting of the Messiah in Jerusalem takes one to the exact day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the foal of an ass. Period covered is March 14, 445 BC to April 6, 32 AD. Greater detail can be found in the book The Coming Prince by Sir Robert Anderson. What is key is that the prophetic time clock was stopped when Israel rejected the Messiah. Israel was temporarily exiled into the Gentile nations for this rejection and Jerusalem and the second Temple were destroyed in 70 AD by the Roman armies of Titus. There is a week yet future period of 7 years (also known as the 70th week of Daniel) covered in detail in the book of Revelation chapters 6-19.
    3. 3. The Messiah would come through a virgin birth and His name would be called Immanuel. There are two very special points or hints in these verses. One is that the Messiah would not have a human father. Why is that? Well, the sin nature is passed down through the human father. The Messiah was sinless and would need to be born sinless therefore a special virgin birth by the Holy Spirit was necessary. The second point is what the name Immanuel means. The meaning is God with us ! One of the eternal members of the Trinity would take on human flesh for the redemptive purposes of mankind. To undo the fall in the Garden of Eden and to break Satan's tyranny over people.
    4. 4. In Isaiah 9 the description of the son born and his future role in history is laid out. This Son would be God himself, his blood sacrifice or atonement on the cross would bring a legal peace with God because it would satisfy the debt of sin each of us have in God's courtroom but only for those who would repent and receive the Son. It also portends the future 1,000 year kingdom with the Messiah reigning from Jerusalem after the final battle between God and Satan happens in the last 7 years covered in Revelation chapter 6-19.

    5. 5.  Bethlehem was to be the birthplace of the Messiah. Reading Matthew 2 v 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem. Luke chapter 2 records this event in greater detail.

    6. 6. Matthew 21 v 1-11 records the event where Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the foal of an ass presenting himself as Israel s Messiah. This was the exact day that the 69 weeks of years ended which was prophesied in Daniel 9 v 24-27. If you think about it any of the Jewish people could have studied this prophecy and could have known to look for Messiah this day! And yet is seems only a very few such as Simeon were aware it might be the season of the Messiah! Simeon was promised he would not pass away until he saw the Messiah. This account if written in Luke 2 v 22-35.

Isaiah 53 is of course a description of the Messiah coming to Israel, despised and rejected of men because men love darkness and want to hide their sin, His substitute payment on the cross for the sins of men (the Lord laid on Him the iniquity of us all), the final Passover Lamb which takes away the sin of the world.
    8. 8. A graphic description of the physical suffering on the cross, they pierced my hands and my feet. At the time of the writing of Psalm 22 crucifying a person on a tree had not yet been invented. It came about during the Roman period of rule. They cast lots for his garments in Matthew 27 v 35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.
    9. 9. The betrayal of Jesus so that the soldiers and Chief priests could take him and condemn him in a false trial was perpetrated by one of Jesus's twelve disciples Judas. Judas accepted from the Chief priests a bribe of 30 pieces of silver but upon regret he cast it back into the Temple and it was used to buy a Potters field. We read of this betrayal deal in Matthew 26 v 14-16 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, V15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. V16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him. The remainder of chapter 26 describes the betrayal at night in the Garden of Gethsemane.
    10. 10. At the crucifixion the Roman soldier offered Jesus a mixture of sour wine and gall which Jesus refused. It is thought this was a mixture of the cheapest wine and a herb that would lessen the pain. Jesus would refuse as he was atoning for the full sins of the world and would not accept such a tainted drink. Matthew 27:34 They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.
    11. 11. At the time of Christ the location of the unsaved dead and the saved dead were in close proximity. In Luke 16 v 19-31 we have the account of the rich man and the poor beggar Lazarus after their passing. Lazarus is in a part of this holding place called Abrahams bosom and the rich man is in the other part called the place of torment . Apparently the rich man was consciously suffering for his choices and could see the comfort that Lazarus was receiving. Two things happened when Christ gave up His spirit and his human body died. His body did not undergo normal decay but was quickly resurrected in the rich man s tomb with an immortal body which still shows the nail prints on his hands and feet. He did go to Hades but his purpose was to announce to the unsaved dead that he had defeated death and Satan and also to empty out Abrahams bosom so all the saved dead are present with him in heaven. Over 500 people were eyewitnesses to Him appearing unto them. 1 Corinthians 15 v 3-6 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; v4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: v5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve (apostles): v6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. In Jewish law you only needed 2 or 3 eyewitness accounts in court to confirm an event is true.
    12. 12. One of the things that confounded the religious leaders of Israel was that they couldn t deny the miracles that Jesus was doing. And don't you think if they could they would have tried? Luke 7:21-23 And in that same hour he (Jesus) cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. V22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. V23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

    Well, how did you do in reading the verses for yourself? Did you see the prophetic nature of each verse? Did you get most of it right in your answers or understanding?

     

    12 Verses for the Second Coming of Christ

    Let's now look at the verses that speak of how the end will come. The verses that identify that this current generation is showing all the prophetic signs of the return of Christ as King and in judgment. His first coming was as a lamb to deal with sin, His second coming will be as a lion to deal with Satan and those that oppose Him (please don't be in this group). I will say that there are three phases that lay out what is called the End Times or the Latter Days. The first phase known as the super sign is the return of Israel back to her homeland in unbelief but in preparation to fulfill the 70th week of Daniel. The second phase is the rapture or removal of the remnant Church to heaven to meet with Christ leaving a larger apostate church behind. This ends the Church Age or Age of Grace and clears the way for the 7 year peace treaty between Israel and the surrounding nations. The third phase is the 7 year tribulation outlined in Revelation chapter 6-19 closing with the return of Christ in judgment as King, the imprisoning of Satan so he can deceive the nations no more and the setup of the 1,000 year kingdom with Christ ruling from Jerusalem. Now God has identified many additional signs that would mark this last generation, many very uncanny and unusual signs. I would call it a convergence and increasing intensity of these signs coming together. Now Satan also has a parallel plan for this last generation to bring in his version which includes some form of world government with his leader counterfeiting Christ (Revelation 13), a world church that seems to include other religions denying that Christ is the only way, the overthrow of moral absolutes, rampant drug use, rampant seeking of the occult and on and on.

    1. 1.  The Return of Israel to the Promised Land - Israel was exiled from the Promised Land in 70 AD to wander among the Gentile nations for almost 2,000 years. During this Church Age time God was calling out Gentiles to come to him. But God said that the exile would be temporary and in the last days or end times He would bring Israel back to the Promised Land and fulfil all the Old Testament promises that He made to her. This return is promised in the book of Ezekiel written in circa 592-570 BC. God in Ezekiel 37 v 1-10 gave the prophet a vision of a valley of dry bones. It appeared to Ezekiel that the valley looked pretty hopeless and that they'd been dead a long time! Now the interesting part, God told him that this valley of dead bones was the whole house of Israel and God was going to take them from the heathen nations where they had been scattered for nearly 2,000 years and bring them back to the Promised Land. Ezekiel 37 v 11-12 reads, Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. This event happened on May 14, 1948, the super sign that started the last generation and the generation that would see the return of the Messiah. Ezekiel chapter 36 also parallels. It is noteworthy to say that the initial gathering of Israel would be in unbelief but her conversion would begin in the 7 year tribulation and the final ingathering at the end of the tribulation in belief in her Messiah as described in Isaiah chapter 11. Ezekiel 36:19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. Ezekiel was written 592-570 BC; Isaiah 740-690 BC
    2. 2. Satan's Counterfeit Christ or Roman Ruler - Revelation chapter 13 describes the career of this counterfeit Christ, this charismatic world leader, his command for Roman Caesar worship or obeisance, his command or mandate to receive a mark on your forehead or right hand to participate in the banking system. This system is already in full development with the invention of the computer and our current banking system. It is but a short step to institute a mark or one number to use in place of the myriads of passwords we currently have to access the internet and banking systems. How did the book of Revelation foresee that! Revelation was written in circa 95 AD by the Apostle John on his exile to the Isle of Patmos.

    3. 3. The Gog Magog Group of Invaders of Israel - Ezekiel chapter 38 and 39 describes a group of nations who seek to invade Israel at the time of the end but will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel. Here s a listing of the nations. See their current alignment and where they are currently on the political stage. Israel recognizes this group of nations as their biggest threat! What happens at this invasion? What is God s response?     4. 4. The False Peace - Another end times feature which will come to fruition is the desire for peace and security between Israel and the nations and people groups in the Middle East. The whole world is focussed on this! Many attempts have been made but as of yet not God s timing. However as Daniel chapter 9 v 24-27 says there will be a false peace treaty for 7 years confirmed by the Roman Ruler outlined in Revelation chapter 13. 1 Thessalonians 5 v 1-3 confirms this desire for peace and security we are witnessing today in our generation. 1 Thessalonians 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail (birth pangs) upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. This desire for peace but not peace with God through His Son begins the worst time of history that there has ever been.
    5. 5. The Third Temple Rebuilt - Another end time feature will be the rebuilding of a Third Jewish Temple. Currently the political situation has held this back but different Jewish groups have prepared the Temple plans, Temple instruments and vessels, Temple garments, have trained the Levitical priesthood, have a Red Heifer to purify the priesthood, etc. http://templemount.org/ http://www.templeinstitute.org/ We know from Matthew 24 v 15 that the Roman Ruler will desecrate the Temple at the mid-point of the 7 year treaty. You can avoid entering this soon approaching 7 year period by becoming a born again Christian! The Church of all "born again" Christians as the "bride of Christ" will be called home just before this period.
    6. 6.  Moral Decay in the Last Days - In the last generation Jesus himself said it would be like the Days of Noah and the Days of Lot. Luke 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Luke 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. The generation of Noah's day would not respond to his call to repentance and to get right with God. There was great spiritual apathy and indifference. They were living a business as usual lifestyle with no concern of the coming judgment Noah was warning from. The same with Lot in Sodom who was vexed by their sinful practices. The people of Sodom and Gomorrah ignored Lot also and lived a business as usual lifestyle. Has this not arrived in our generation as well? People, governments and businesses rushing in to approve the sinful practices of others, bringing guilt on themselves as well? I remember a book by Hal Lindsey circa 1970 called The Late Great Planet Earth warning of these End Times and the need to get right with God. We have now been warned increasingly for 50 years by many books and ministries and yet few have responded! Jesus didn't believe in evolution and he doesn't lie! But there is another spirit who opposes Jesus who lies like the devil!
    7. 7.  Explosion of Travel and Knowledge - In the last days God said that knowledge and the ability to rapidly travel would explode. Daniel 12 v 4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. The wording of run and increased has a meaning of greatly multiplied in speed to exponential in increase. It cannot be doubted the ability to travel and with speed has exploded. Up until even the early 19th century travel was still mostly horse and wagon. To travel across the USA would take over a year. Now you can drive in just over 2 days or fly across the USA in 5 hours! To circumnavigate the globe with a sailing ship in the 1500 s it would take about 3 years. The modern ship it is now about 61 days, the aircraft now about 2 days. The increase in knowledge up to the 19th century was thought to double every 100 years, to the end of World War 2 it doubled every 25 years, with the modern computer it is said to double every 12 months. I might call this an explosion! Yet, the scriptures identified this along with the mark of the beast technology in Revelation 13. (Daniel was written 586-516 BC)

Surveillance Technology in the Last Days - Further to the explosion of technology, the Bible is predicting a global satellite internet communication system where the whole world can view an event that takes place in Jerusalem with the two witnesses . Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. Explosion of Counterfeit Spirituality and Gospels - Spiritual deception with signs and wonders: When the disciples asked Jesus on the Mount of Olives about his second coming he emphasized that many would come in His name and many would come doing signs and wonders. Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked (the Roman Ruler of Rev 13) be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him (the Roman Ruler of Rev 13), whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders. In general you teach a counterfeit gospel by adding to the finished work of Christ on the cross by denying the deity of Christ or farther out in left field you develop a New Age concept such as the cosmic Christ consciousness which redefines the meaning. And lastly you claim yourself a last days apostle or a prophet and seek a following after your dreams, visions and signs and wonders. The Ecumenical Gathering or Unity of World Religions - In this call there is the setting aside of Bible doctrine and joining with all other faiths for a visible unity to support a one world government and the Roman Ruler of Revelation 13. The problem comes as you can imagine when you say that Jesus is the only way, the only truth and the only life. Then you have the problem of the Roman Ruler claiming he is god and demanding you bow the knee to him at pain of death! This was the problem of the first century church and they suffered greatly in the Roman Empire of that day. Everything was okay as long as you did not say that your sect was the only way and as long as you pledged allegiance to Caesar.

    11. 11. Strange weather and Environmentalism - there are a number of scriptures that identify unusual weather and earth groanings as birth pangs of the last generation. Luke 21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers (various) places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Earth's groaning began at Noah's flood when the cracked apart the earth and the canopy surrounding the earth collapsed. Ever since that event we are subject to the possibility of earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, strange weather, famines, Polar vortex, El Nino etc . CO2 is a good molecule that greenhouse owners pump into their greenhouses to increase produce yields. We actually need more CO2 not less in the world. But this is being used to target the use of fossil fuels because their use produces CO2. A country such as Canada has a government who believes this hoax and is actively trying to shut down its own energy industry!     12. 12. Mental Depravity of the Last Days - The state of people's minds in the last days will be blinded, unstable, undiscerning on right and wrong, fiercely self willed and frightful. It will be a result of the final battle between God and Satan. 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! What factors will affect this mental depravity? The main one is how you respond to instruction and correction from God, if you continually resist his wise and loving counsel at a point he will give you over to a depraved mind. A second one is that we are naturally blinded by the god of this world. We don't see things clearly when we grow up in this world. Satan has power to even snatch thoughts from your mind and put thoughts in your mind. Satan comes to deceive, kill and destroy. A third one would be the abandonment of the light of the Bible in the 1960 s. Young minds are ignorant as to what God says so they have unrenewed or uninformed minds. A fourth one which follows is all the ideas fed into people's minds through public education (evolution, psychology, anthropology, feminism, abandonment of moral absolutes, sexual deviancy as normal etc) I would not want to be an educator having done that and stand alone in God s courtroom. A fifth one would be the high use of pharmaceutical and pleasure inducing drugs of all kinds, children to adults. Off course God s desire is for everyone to turn to Him repent of their sin and trust in His Son's payment on the cross. Then He will cause the new birth and begin to put you back into your right mind! Don't resist the Spirit's call to you by hardening yourself inside where no one else can see but God! Can you do a fresh start with Jesus? Yes, you can! He will give you as many do overs or fresh starts as you need no matter how far down the road of sin and mental depravity you have travelled. His desire is to cleanse from sin and save.
